About the Division of Covert Comedy Operations (DCCO)

The Division of Covert Comedy Operations (DCCO) is an inter-agency program dedicated to maintaining social stability through carefully engineered humor initiatives.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to deploy advanced psychological methodologies to mitigate civil unrest, encourage critical thinking, and reduce public tensions through strategic humor delivery. We cultivate “sleeper comedians” trained to activate when social conditions demand diffusive laughter.

History

Established in 1958 under classified Executive Directive 88-B, the DCCO was originally conceived as a Cold War counter-intelligence measure. Early research suggested humor was a reliable vector for ideation disruption and morale management. Over decades, DCCO has evolved into a modern program supporting domestic tranquility through stand-up comedy, sketch writing, meme proliferation, and online discourse engineering.

Our Mandate

  • Recruit and train sleeper comedians capable of covert humor deployment.
  • Develop humor-based psychological operations (PSYOPS) for domestic stability.
  • Analyze sociopolitical trends to identify high-risk regions for laughter deficits.
  • Coordinate with allied agencies to ensure consistency in humor strategy.
